093 ORDINANCE NO. NS- 2344 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN NO. 60 TO SET A M~kXIMUM TIME LIMIT FOR TEMPORARY OFFICE STRUCTURES BUIILT ANCILLARY TO NEW CAR DEALERSHIPS WHEREAS, this Council, by its Ordinance No. NS-2214, adopted January 18, 1994, rezoned property in the area known as the Santa Ana Auto Mall, more specifically described in said ordinance, to the SD (Specific Development) District and adopted Specific Development Plan No. 60 for such property; and WHEREAS, as originally adopted, Specific Development Plan No. 60 did not allow for temporary office structures for auto sales dealerships prior to development plan approval or auto part sales and storage facilities ancillary to new car dealerships; and WHEREAS, this Council amended Ordinance No. NS-2214 to allow temporary office facilities and auto part sales and storage facilities for new car dealerships in Specific Development No. 60; and WHEREAS, this Council now desires to include a maximum timeframe, recommended by the Planning Commission, to limit the existence of the temporary structures not to exceed a 24 months; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN that Specific Development Plan No. 60 is amended by adding items 6 and 7 to section A thereof, to read as follows: Temporary automobile sales facilities on a paved and landscaped parking and sales area, in conjunction with a new automobile dealership per an approved development plan, not to exceed 12 months unless approved by the Planning Commission, which shall not extend the existence of the temporary facilities beyond a total of 24 months. Automobile part sales and storage facilities for the exclusive ancillary use of an adjacent new car dealership.
