NS-2417 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF <br /> THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING <br /> SECTION 30-2.2 CATEGORIZING THE <br /> STRUCTURES OF HISTORICAL AND <br /> ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE ON THE SANTA <br /> ANA REGISTER OF HISTORICAL PROPERTIES <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF ']'HE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding a <br />section, to be numbered 30-2.2, which said section reads as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 30-2.2 Categorization <br /> <br /> The Historic Resources Commission shall place all buildings, landmarks or districts <br />on the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties in one of the following categories <br />based upon the criteria for each category: <br /> <br /> (a) Landmark Category <br /> <br /> 1. The building, landmark or district is on the National Register or <br /> appears to be eligible to be placed on the register; or <br /> <br /> 2. The building, landmark or distdct is on the State Register or appears <br /> to be eligible to be placed on the register; or <br /> <br /> 3. The building, landmark or district has a historic/cultural significance <br /> to the City of Santa Ana; or <br /> <br /> 4. The building, landmark or district has a unique architectural <br /> significance. <br /> <br /> (b) Key Category <br /> <br /> 1. The building, landmark or district has a distinctive architectural style <br /> and quality; or <br /> <br /> 2. The building, landmark or district is characteristic of a significant <br /> period in the history of the City of Santa Ana; or <br /> 3.
