City Hall, Santa Ana, Cal., <br /> <br /> August 5th,1912 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Board met in regular session. <br /> <br />Present Trustees Alderman, }~cPhee, Greenleaf, <br /> <br />Board called to order by President ~rank ~y. <br /> <br />In Re Petition <br /> <br />Paving East First St. <br /> <br />In Re Railroad <br />Crossings <br /> <br />In Re Ordinance <br />Crossing gates <br /> <br />In Re Sidewalk <br />on Myrtle St. <br /> <br />In Re Citation <br /> <br />,~.0. Hill & <br /> ..... ~. Long <br /> <br />In Re Sanitary <br />Officer <br /> <br />Grubb, My, and the Clerk. <br /> <br /> The petition of John Pugh, et al, petitioning the <br /> Board to take the necessary steps to pave East First <br /> Street was on motion continued to August 19,1912 at <br /> 7:30 <br /> <br /> A communication from Dr. G.F. Doyle calling the Board's <br /> attention to dangerous condition of railroad crossings. <br /> The Clerk was instructed to notify the Railroad Companies <br /> of the condition. <br /> <br /> The City Attorney was directed to prepare an Ordinance <br /> to protect crossing-gates &~ Railroad crossings on East <br /> Fourth Street. <br /> <br /> On motion of Grubb, duly seconded and carried, sidewalks <br /> are ordered in on Myrtle Street between Main Street and <br /> Orange Avenue. <br /> <br /> W.O. Hill and J.~. Long appeared before the Board in <br />answer to a citation directing them to appear and show <br />cause why their licenses should not be revoked. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mcphee:~ duly seconded and carried, the <br />matter of J.M. Long was continued to August 19, 19lB at <br />7:50 p.n,. <br /> <br />H.W. Nisbet, Es~., appeared in behalf of W.0. Hill. <br />S.H. Finley and Sam Jernigan were sworn and testified. <br /> <br /> On motion of G~ubb seconded by Alderman and carried, it <br />is ordered that the license of W.0. Hill at ~0~ West <br />Fourth Street be revoked, and the City Marshal is direst- <br />ed to carry out this order. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> Dr. J.I. Clark appeared before the Board and asked that <br />a Sanitary Officer be appointed at $?~.00 per month,said <br />officer to serve at the pleasure of the Board. On motion <br />of McPhee, duly seconded and carried~ the Board of Health <br />is empowered ~o carry out the foregoing request. <br /> <br /> <br />
