Ordiance No.~E,an Ordiance of the City of Santa Ana, amending Section S,of Ordianee No.~§9 of the City of Santa Aha, relating to a District within which open water ditches in streets are prohibited- was on motion of Alder- man,seconded by McPhee passed and adopted by the following vote,to-wit: Ayes,Trustess Alderman,McPhee,Greenleaf,Grubb and Noes, Tru~toes, None. # The monthly re~orta of the City Treasurer, City Clerk,Real~'~ Officer,City Recorder,Water Superintendent and City Marshal were read ~nd ordered filed. On motion of Alderman duly seconded a~d ca~ried, the City Clerk is directed to draw warrants on the City Treasurer to cover City Demcnds and as the same are recorded in Warrant and Demand Book No. 1, pages 1~,16,17,18 and 19. On motion of G~ubb ~uly seconded an~ carried,it is orde~- ed that the City Schools be charged for water at B/$ of the regular rate. On motion the Water Superintendent is instructed to p~e- pare plane and costs for the immediate need of the Water Plan~. # On motion of MoPhee duly seconded and carried,the City P~lice a~e permitted $o wea~ civilian clothes,during ' nigh~ duty. On motion of Al~er~&n duly seconded and carried, the Presi- dent of the Boa~d is directed to name a Finance Committee to Audit monthly reports- in futherance of the foregoing Trustees Al~ernan,Greenleaf and Ey a~e named as a Finance Con~ittee. Oomplaint having been made to the Board by certain property owners that the Southern Oounties Gas Company had refused to connect with gas m~ins to supply said pro~ertv owners with gas. The Clerk is directed to notify the Gas Co. o~ said complaint and ask them to make the requested connectia~s. O~ motion of Alderman duly seconded and carried, the City Clerk is directed to request the Board of Suyervisore to consider the proposition of opening Fairview Road.
