Medlock and others, the <br />rem~-~et~ance of Mrs~ A. Vanderlip,et al, and a Resolution <br />of remonstrance from the Santa Aha Valley Ebell, were <br />presented, asking the Board to rescind its action in grant- <br />ing to H.A. Jones a pool room and bowling alley license, <br />were presented for discussion. Bassett and Ensign appear- <br />ing on behalf of H.A. Jones, and Olyde Bishop appearing <br />on behalf of the remonstrators. <br /> <br />On motion of Grubb duly seconded, and carried, it is <br />ordered that the remonstrances be placed on file. <br /> <br />The petition of Henry Diets et al, to lay cement curb <br /> <br />on 12th Street between Main and Sturgeon was granted, and <br />the curb ordered in at o~ce. <br /> <br />The proposition of paving East Fourth Street and making <br />width of pavement 17 feet from parking to parchment from <br />Santa Fe Railway to Mabury Street was on motion referred <br />to Street Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of McPhee duly seconded and carried, it is <br />ordered that Good Adams be al lowed festal for property <br />located at Corner of Sycamore and Third Street,now used <br />for hitching racks, one-half of City taxes paid in 1@11-12 <br />and all CiZy taxes for 191~-1~ be remitted. <br /> <br />On motion officer Lacy is granted leave of absence <br /> <br />for fifteen days. <br /> <br />On motion of McPhee duly seconded and carried, Roy Davemport <br />is appointed a special policeman at a salary of $100 per <br />month, he to furnish his own motor cycle and to pay for the <br />up keep of the same. <br /> <br />On motion it ~s ordered that the contractor who has the <br />contract to lay cement curb on both sides of Bush Street <br />between let and ~rd Streets be ordered to p~oceed with the <br />work. <br /> <br /> On motion of HcPhcc, duly seconded and carried,, the Clerk <br /> is instructed to notif*y the Southern Oalifornia Edison <br /> <br /> <br />
