City Hall, Sa.uta Aha, Gal. <br /> October 7th,1912 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> Greenleaf, Grubb, <br />order By President Frank <br /> <br />The Board met in regular session. <br /> <br />Present, Trustees, Alderman, McPhee, <br /> <br />Board called to <br /> <br />In Re Salvation Army <br />Cox 4th & M~in Sts. <br /> <br />In Re Home Taxation <br /> <br />In Re Monthly Reports <br /> <br />Iu Re Remonstrance <br />Pool Ro~ <br /> <br />In Re Pool <br /> <br />Room Licensee <br /> <br />In Re Sewer <br />District <br /> <br />gy and the Clerk. <br /> <br />A coz:nunication from Captain Sochon of the Salvation Army <br />asking the right for the use of the Southwest corner of <br />Main and ~th Streets for open air religious meetings, was <br />on motion of Grubb, duly seconded, passed and adoptedby <br />the followin~ vote to-wit: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees MoPhee, Greenleaf, Grubb and <br /> <br />Noes, Alderman. <br /> <br />A communication from the California League of Municipali- <br />ties relative to home taxation was on motion ordered <br />filed. <br /> <br />The monthly reports of the Building Inspector, City <br />Marshal, City Recorder, Street Superintendent, City <br />Treasure-% C.ity Clerk, City Health Officer and Superin- <br />tendent of Water and ~ewers were read and ordered referr- <br />ed to the Finance 0onm~ittee. <br /> <br /> On motion the remonstrances asking the revocation of <br /> license issued to H.A'. Jones were ordered presented <br /> to the Board fo~ final disposition. <br /> <br /> On mo~ion of Grubb, seconded by Greenleaf and carried, <br /> it is ordered that the remonstrances on file asking the <br /> revocation of license issued to H.A. Jones to conduct <br /> <br />pool room be denied. <br /> <br />The applications of Oartwright <br /> <br />and Kinslow,C. Norito, <br /> <br />S.E. Deck, Blakeman and Tiller, and Gerhardt & Du Bois, <br />to conduct pool rooms in the Oity of Santa Aha, were <br />granted, and the Clerk is instructed to issue licenses. <br /> <br />A number of property owners from South of Chestnut Avenue <br />and West of Orange Avenue in the City of Santa Aha, appear- <br />ed before the Board in relation to a proposed sewer within <br />a district. On motion a con~r~ittee consisting of Trustees <br />Alderman, Water Superintendent Reid and City Engineer <br />were named to discuss the proposed sewer with the committee <br />to be named by the interested district. <br /> <br />After a discussion among the property owners present they <br />reported to th~ Board that they had agreed to proceed under <br />the Vrooman Act. <br /> <br /> <br />
