A coz:nunication from Captain Sochon of the Salvation Army asking the right for the use of the Southwest corner of Main and ~th Streets for open air religious meetings, was on motion of Grubb, duly seconded, passed and adoptedby the followin~ vote to-wit: Ayes, Trustees MoPhee, Greenleaf, Grubb and Noes, Alderman. A communication from the California League of Municipali- ties relative to home taxation was on motion ordered filed. The monthly reports of the Building Inspector, City Marshal, City Recorder, Street Superintendent, City Treasure-% C.ity Clerk, City Health Officer and Superin- tendent of Water and ~ewers were read and ordered referr- ed to the Finance 0onm~ittee. On motion the remonstrances asking the revocation of license issued to H.A'. Jones were ordered presented to the Board fo~ final disposition. On mo~ion of Grubb, seconded by Greenleaf and carried, it is ordered that the remonstrances on file asking the revocation of license issued to H.A. Jones to conduct pool room be denied. The applications of Oartwright and Kinslow,C. Norito, S.E. Deck, Blakeman and Tiller, and Gerhardt & Du Bois, to conduct pool rooms in the Oity of Santa Aha, were granted, and the Clerk is instructed to issue licenses. A number of property owners from South of Chestnut Avenue and West of Orange Avenue in the City of Santa Aha, appear- ed before the Board in relation to a proposed sewer within a district. On motion a con~r~ittee consisting of Trustees Alderman, Water Superintendent Reid and City Engineer were named to discuss the proposed sewer with the committee to be named by the interested district. After a discussion among the property owners present they reported to th~ Board that they had agreed to proceed under the Vrooman Act.
