First &Walnut <br /> <br />In Re Water Main <br />Taylor 0annery <br /> <br /> On motion of Alderman, duly seconded and carried, the Board <br /> rescinded its former action in ordering the City Attorney <br /> to comence proceedings for the condemnation of a right-of <br /> way over Ninth St. <br /> <br />The City 01erk was instructed to have deeds recorded convey- <br /> <br /> in6 property to the City for street purposes on West 9th St. <br /> <br />Mr. Jacobs of North Broadway asked to have an S.A.V.I. <br />ditch moved from where he wants to lay a sidewalk and he <br />offered t~ give a right-of-way for a pipe line. <br /> <br />On motion of Grubb, duly seconded and carried, it ie ordered <br />that the ditch be removed from the City street property. <br /> <br />On motion duly seconded and carried, John Carlyle was granted <br />permission to remove oneetree on Myrtle Ave. near 0heatnut. <br /> <br />Mrs. Levengood appeared before the Boar~ and asked that an <br />alley west of Flower St. between First and Walnut be opened <br />up. On motion duly seconded and oarri~d,~he 2treet Superin- <br />tendent is instructed to clean up alley. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Grubb,seconded by Alderman,further action ia <br />ordered deferred in reference to opening alley near the <br />corner of 18th and Main Sra., on the assurance that Mr. True <br />will remove the barn from the alley within 90 days. The fore- <br />going motion was carried by the following vote to-wit: <br /> <br />Ayes, Alderman, Greenleaf and Grubb. <br /> <br />Noes, McPhee and <br /> <br />Mr. B. Smith appeared before the Board and asked that the alley <br />from Booth to Sheltom St, between First and Walnut St. be opened <br />ap. On motion duly seconded and carried, the matter was referr~ <br />to a committee consisting of Trustees Orubb and Alderman and <br />Engineer Finley for investigation. <br /> <br />Representatives of Taylore' Cannery appeared before the Board and <br />asked permission to extend the water main on ~aet Fourth Street <br />near their cannery, at their expense, for the purpose of fire <br />protection. On mgtion of McPhee, duly seconded and carried, the <br /> <br />request is granted. <br /> <br /> <br />
