Present, Trustees Alderman, McPhee, Greenleaf, Grubb, My and the Board called to order by President Frank In Re Pump Water Dept. In Re Ordinance No.566 Gasoline In Re Ordinance No 508 Natural Gas In Re Boxing Contest Knoller In Re Demonstration Water Pressure South Broadway In Re Gravel Lacy Street 4th St. to let St. Clerk. · communication from Johnston & Tannehill submitting a propo- sition to install a 9-5/8 8tar pump in one of the water wells at the Oity pumping station for the purpose of determining how much water the well will furnish. And agreeing to install the punp of 80 feet from top of ground if it is necessary to get the desired amount of water, the Oity to furnish electric motor and power to drive the pump. If after 10 days trial this pump proves satisfactory to the City and the Oity advertises for bids to purchase, the City agrees to ask for bide on a iize pump that is best adapted for the amount of water that the City's well will furnish at a depth agreed u~on. On motion of Alderman, seconded by McPhee, the foregoing propo- sition is accepted. Ordinance No.§66, an Ordinance regulating the keeping,itorage or use of gasoline exceeding § gallons in Quantity in any public or private place, in the ~ity of Santa Ana, also for the keeping, atorage or use of fuel oil, was on motion referred to a committee consisting of Trustees Alderman, McPhee, Greenleaf, Grubb and City ~ngineer Finley. # Ordinance No.~68, an Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana,fixing a maximum gas rate for natural gas furnished to the City of Santa Aha, or its inhabitants; and other regulationa for the control of persons, firms or corporations supplying to the inhabitants of said City, was read and on motion referred to the City Attorney. · Mr. Knoller appeared before the Board and asked permission to have a boxing contest in the rear of his building. On motion of McPhee, seconded by Alderman and carried, the application is denied. # -On motion of McPhee, seconded by Alderman and carried, it is ordered that all members of the Board be present on South Broadway at % p.m., on Feb. 18th, 19lA, for the purpose of making · demon- stration of the water pressure on said Street. H.P. Oonnell appeared before the Board and asked that Lacy ~treet be graveled from First St. to ~th St., On motion of McPhee seconded by Greenleaf and carried, the Street Department ie in- structed to gravel said street.
