Bids were received from the <br />following persons: <br /> <br />Horton-Hemstock Co., American Well and Prospecting Co. <br />Byron-Jackson Iron W~rk~, P.E. Woods Pump Co., The ~ayne- <br />& Bowler Corporation and N.H.Cox. <br /> <br />On motion of Alderman, duly secondld and carried, the <br />above bids were referred to a committee consisting of <br />Trastees Alderman, Orubb and Greenleaf and Water ~pt. Reid <br />for investigation and report. <br /> <br /> The petition of D.N.Xelly, et al, for paving North Ross <br /> from 5th St. to Washington Ave., was on motion referred <br /> to the City ~ngineer for investigation. <br /> <br /> The City ~ngineer reported that more than 60 per cent of <br /> the frontage had signed the petition. <br /> <br /> On motion of Orub~ d~ly seconded and carried, the prayer <br /> of the petition was granted and the contractor ia per- <br /> mittedto enter upon said street for the purpose of paving <br /> as soon as the public utilities have installed their pipe <br /> lines. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> The petition of T.F.McDonnel et al, to extend the sewer <br /> line on Chestnut Ave., from Flower St., to Baker <br /> the property owners to pay the coat of the pipe and th~ <br /> Oity to install the same was on motion of Alderman seconded <br /> by MoPhee granted. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />Ordinance No.571, an aa~ Ordinance establishing a new datum <br />plane for the City of Santa Aha, and establishing the grade <br />of a portion of West FifSh 6t., in slid 0ity was on motion <br />referred to the City Attorney and the City Engineer. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of M~Phes, duly s®oonded and carried, the City <br />Attorney is directed to take the necessary le~l steps to <br />foro~ Public U~ilit~s corporations to repair dam~ed <br />streets in the airy of Santa Aha, damaged by them, and upon <br />their failure to re,air said streets the Street Supt. is <br />directed to make said repairs and present his bill to said <br />company for sc doing. <br /> <br /># <br />Mr. Alderman stated that it was essential for the bettermer~ <br /> <br />of the water plant at the corner of First and Palm Sts.,th~ <br /> <br />they ~rocure two lots <br />plant. <br /> <br />On motion of Alderman, <br /> <br />from Mr. 0lapp lying F~st of said Water <br /> <br />seconded by Grubb and carried, Trustees <br /> <br />~y, MoPhee and Greenleaf are named a committee to meet Mr. <br /> <br />Frank Clapp and price on t~o iota ~aet ei~ater plant <br /> <br /> <br />
