In Re Bids Paving West 5th St. In Re Laundry 756 Orange Ave. In Re Joint Pole 0o~ission In Re Bids for Cast Iron Pips, Cast Iron ~cials and Fire Hydrants The President of the Board having &nnounoed this the time for opening bids, for the paving of West Fifth at., from ~arnsey at., to Baker at., and for the paving of West Fifth at., from Baker at., to Artesia at., on motion of Alderman, duly seconded and carried, the Olerk was directed to proceed to open bids. Max L.Huberman bid for paving West Fifth from ~arnsey St., to Baker at., 113 cts. per sq. ft. Max L. Baberman bid for paving West Fifth from Baker St., to Artesia at., 113 cts. per sq. ft. · bid submitted by W.F. Hewitt Oompany of Los Angeles, for the paving of Wes~ Fifth at., frc~ Garnsey St. to Artesia at., was o~ the recommendation of the Attorney not considered for the reason that the bid should have separated each section of the street aa called for in the ~otios inviting Street Work proposals. On motion of Aide,man, seconded by Greenleaf and o~rried, the bid of Ya~ L. Huberman for the paving of West Fifth St.. froze ~arneey at., to Baker St., and West Fifth at., from Baker at., to A~tesi· at., was referred to a committee consisting of Trustees Alderma~ ·nd Greenleaf · nd 0ity Engineer atewar~ for investigation and report, the co~mittee to report ·t · regular adjourned meeting to be held June S4th at 7:~0 p.m. # · protest signed by F. W·keham, et al, protesting Against the establishing of · laundry at ~o.7§6 Orange Ave., was ~resented. On ~otion of Alderman, duly seconded and ~arried, it is ordered that the permit for establishing · laundry at 756 Orange Ave., be withheld and the committee granted further time for investigation. # On motion of Alderman, duly seconded and carried, it i~ ordered that the blue print submitted by the Joint Pole 0on~ission for the ohangin~ of certain Doles in the 0ity of Santa An· be accepted.
