Holland for a permit to erect a gaso- <br /> line storage tank above ground at the corner of Pacific Ave., <br /> and Fifth St., 100 feet from any structure, was on motion of <br /> Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded and carried, referred to <br /> ~ire Committee. <br /> <br />The application of E.g. Btricker for a Jitney bus license <br />was on motion of Trustee McPhee, seconded by Maryatt and <br />carried, was granted. <br /> <br />A petition signed by the Packin~g House owners East of the <br />Santa Fe tracks for better fire protection was read and on <br />motion duly seconded and carried referred to the Water Supt. <br />with #nstructions to place hydrants on 4th and 6th Sts.,gast <br />of Railr#ad tracks. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />Petition of J.W.Hancock to hang a metal watch sign in front <br />of his place of business was on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly <br />seconded bY McPhee, granted, providing same is made an electric <br />sign. <br /> <br />The application of Mrs. Arthur Ammon to conduct a rooming house <br />at 41§~ gast 4th St., was on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly <br />seconded by McPhee and carried, granted. <br /> <br />The bond of Oharlee F.Bavens,oement conctractor, with J.Wiley <br />Harris and Ray 0handler as sureties was read and upon motion <br />of Trustee McPhee, seconded by Greenleaf and carried, referred <br />to the President for approval. <br /> <br />A communication from the M. & M. Association asking the Board <br />to place ornamental trash receptacles on the business streets <br />was read and on motion of Trustee ~cPhee, duly seconded by <br />Greenleaf and carried, was ordered laid on the table. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, <br />the Street Oomm~ttee was instructed to request Mr. Zerman to clean <br />weeds off the Lot on East Third St.,used by him as m wood yard. <br /> <br /> <br />
