ORDINANCE NO. NS-2462 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA REZONING PROPERTY GENERALLY <br />LOCATED AT THE WESTERN TERMINUS OF GARY <br />AVENUE SOUTH OF SEGERSTROM AVENUE FROM <br />HEAVY MANUFACTURING (M2) TO LIGHT <br />MANUFACTURING (M1) <br /> <br />BK: 2/5/01 <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. Amendment Application No. 00-17 has been filed with the City of Santa <br />Ana to change the zoning district designation of certain real property generally <br />located on the western terminus of Gary Avenue from the Heavy Manufacturing <br />zoning district (M2) to the Light Manufacturing (M1) zoning district. <br /> <br />B. The Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing on this matter, <br />a at its regular meeting of January 22, 2001. At the conclusion of its <br />consideration, the Planning Commission voted unanimously 7:0 to recommend <br />that the City Council adopt this amendment. <br /> <br />C. This Council, prior to taking action on this ordinance, has held a duly <br />noticed public hearing, on Amendment Application No. 00-17. <br /> <br />D. By resolution adopted this day, the City Council has approved <br />Environmental Review No. 99-06 for this project, which includes the instant <br />ordinance. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. The Light Manufacturing (M1) district designation as proposed in <br />Amendment Application No. 00-17, is hereby found and determined to be consistent with <br />the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana and otherwise justified by the public necessity, <br />convenience and general welfare. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3. That certain real property generally located on the western terminus <br />of Gary Avenue south of Segerstrom Avenue, more particularly described in Amendment <br />Application No. 00-17, is hereby reclassified, from the Heavy Manufacturing zoning <br />district (M2) to the Light Manufacturing (M1) zoning district. <br /> <br /> SECTION 4.
