An invitation from a committee calling a mass meeting $$ Riverside Nov. 16th,l~l?, in reference to flood control of San Bernardino,Riverside and Orange Counties was read and on motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by McPhee, ordered received and placed on file. A petition signed by 17 residents of East Second and Third Sts. asking the Board to order the constructionof cement sidewalks as follows, commencing at a point 50 ft. East of Hathaway on the North side of 3rd, thence West to East line of Hathaway, thence North on both sides of Hathaway to 4th St., was read, on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf, same was referred to a committee, President Vieel appointing Trustees Tubbs and Greenleaf as such committee. An application from G.H.Maglll for a permit to operate m pop corn stand in front of his place of business 406 E.4th St. was on motion of Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded by Maryatt, referred to a committee, Trustees Tubbs and MoPhee being appointed as such committee. The application of Steele Finley for a permit to enter upon East 4th Bt. for ~he purpose of paving the unpaved portion of said Street from the Santa Fe tracks East to the City Limits, was on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seoof£ded by Greenleaf, referred back to ascertain the definite time work was to begin. On motion ~ Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by McPhee, the Clerk was instructed to notify the P.E.Ry. that the 60 days time granted them to start paving their right of way on East 4th St. was about up. On motion of Trustee Maryatt, duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, the petition to have Bishop Bt. gravelled between Shelton and Flower Sts. was referred back to petitioners for more signatures, petition to read City to spread gravel without grading and property Owners to pay for gravel deliv- ered on street. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf, 2 copies of the City Directory are to be purchased when the
