Paving E.4th St. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Bishop St. gravelling <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />City Directors <br /> <br />City Hall, <br /> <br /> l~l?, ?;3o p.m. <br /> <br />and the Clerk. <br /> <br /> An invitation from a committee calling a mass meeting $$ <br /> Riverside Nov. 16th,l~l?, in reference to flood control <br /> of San Bernardino,Riverside and Orange Counties was read <br /> and on motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by McPhee, <br /> ordered received and placed on file. <br /> <br /> A petition signed by 17 residents of East Second and Third <br /> Sts. asking the Board to order the constructionof cement <br /> sidewalks as follows, commencing at a point 50 ft. East of <br /> Hathaway on the North side of 3rd, thence West to East line <br /> of Hathaway, thence North on both sides of Hathaway to 4th <br /> St., was read, on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by <br /> Greenleaf, same was referred to a committee, President Vieel <br /> appointing Trustees Tubbs and Greenleaf as such committee. <br /> <br /> An application from G.H.Maglll for a permit to operate m <br /> pop corn stand in front of his place of business 406 E.4th <br /> St. was on motion of Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded by <br /> Maryatt, referred to a committee, Trustees Tubbs and MoPhee <br /> being appointed as such committee. <br /> <br /> The application of Steele Finley for a permit to enter upon <br /> East 4th Bt. for ~he purpose of paving the unpaved portion <br /> of said Street from the Santa Fe tracks East to the City <br /> Limits, was on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seoof£ded by <br /> Greenleaf, referred back to ascertain the definite time <br /> work was to begin. <br /> <br />On motion ~ Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by McPhee, the Clerk <br />was instructed to notify the P.E.Ry. that the 60 days time <br />granted them to start paving their right of way on East 4th <br />St. was about up. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Maryatt, duly seconded by Tubbs and <br />carried, the petition to have Bishop Bt. gravelled between <br />Shelton and Flower Sts. was referred back to petitioners <br />for more signatures, petition to read City to spread gravel <br />without grading and property Owners to pay for gravel deliv- <br />ered on street. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf, <br /> <br />2 copies of the City Directory are to be purchased when the <br /> <br /> <br />
