Santa Aha, City Hall, r <br /> <br /> Dec.19, 1917, ?;~0 p.m. <br /> <br />Board met in regular adjourned session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by President Vieel. <br /> <br />Present, Trustees Tuhbs, McPhee, Greenleaf, Maryatt, <br /> <br />Vlsel and the Olerk. <br /> <br />The President announced that this was the date 8et for awarding the bid for funishing <br /> <br />500 ft. of fire hose for the Fire Dept. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tuhbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf, the bid of the Boston Woven Hose <br />and Rubber Co. to furnish 500 ft. of "Bay State Jacket' Z~" hose in 50 ft. lengthl at $1.OO <br />per ft. was accepted and the City Attorney was instructed to prepare the necessary contract <br />for same. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Ce£tlfted checks <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Additional lights <br /> <br />In ~e <br /> <br />Street Condition 4th <br /> <br />and Sycamo~-e Ets. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Unsightly Lot <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Bread Ordinance <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> President <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, du~y seconded by Maryatt,the <br />Clerk was instructed to return the certified checks of the four <br />unsuccessful bidders on furnishing 500 ft. of fire hose. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded by Tubbs, the Southerm <br />Cal. Edison Co. were instructed to install 100 candle power lamps <br />at the following places: One in the alley back of the ~osemore <br />Hotel, one in the alley hack of Rankin's store; one in the rear <br />of the McFadden Ndw. store; and one in the rear of the Opera Hous <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee MoPhee, <br /> <br />OBrien was instructed to see <br /> <br />condition of the street in front <br /> <br />duly seconded by Tubbs, Street Supt <br />that the party responsible for the <br /> <br /> of the Rutherford Bldg. 4th and <br /> <br />Sycamore, ~epalred it at once. <br /> <br />carried. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded By Tubbs, <br />was instructed to write L.D.
