ORDINANCE NO. NS-2499 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REVISING THE PRIMA FAClE SPEED LIMITS FOR STREETS IN THE CITY AS SET FORTH IN ARTICLE VII OF CHAPTER 36 OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: All provisions of the Santa Aha Municipal Code which are repeated herein are repeated solely in order to comply with the provisions of section 418 of the Charter of the City of Santa Ana. Any such restatement of existing provisions of the Code is not intended, nor shall it be interpreted, as constituting a new action or decision of the City Council, but rather such provisions are repeated for tracking purposes only in conformance with the Charter SECTION 2: Section 36-258 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code is hereby amended such that it reads as follows (new language underlined, deleted language in strikeout): Sec. 36-258. Main Street. The speed limits (in miles per hour) for the following portions of Main Street are as follows: Between the North City Limit (NCL) at Route 22 and Seventeenth Street Between Seventeenth Street and First Street Between First Street and Chestnut Avenue Between Chestnut Avenue and Edinger Avenue Between Edinger Avenue and Warner Avenue Between Warner Avenue and Goetz Avenue Between Goetz Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard Between MacArthur Boulevard and Sunflower Avenue 35 35 4O 4O 4O 45 45 45 SECTION 3: Section 36-260 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code is hereby amended such that it reads as follows (new language in bold, deleted language in strikeout): Sec. 36-260.
