ORDINANCE NO. NS-2515 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA REZONING THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />1601, 1605, 1611, 1615, 1619, 1623, 1625, AND 1631 WEST <br />SANTA ANA BOULEVARD FROM COMMUNITY <br />COMMERCIAL (C1) ZONING TO SINGLE-FAMILY <br />RESIDENTIAL (R1) ZONING (AA NO. 2002-08) <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana does hereby find, <br />determine and declare as follows: <br /> <br />Amendment Application No. 2002-08 has been filed with the City of Santa <br />Ana to change the zoning district designation' of certain real property <br />located at 1601, 1605, 1611, 1615, 1619, 1623, 1625, and 1631 West <br />Santa Ana Boulevard from Community Commercial (C1) zoning to Single- <br />Family Residential (R1) zoning. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Aha held a duly noticed <br />public hearing on August 12, 2002, on Amendment Application No. 2002- <br />08 and recommended by a unanimous vote that the City Council approve <br />Amendment Application No. 2002-08. <br /> <br />The applicant proposes to construct a single-family residence at 1605 <br />West Santa Ana Boulevard. The current zoning classification for the <br />subject property is Community Commercial (C1), which is inconsistent <br />with the General Plan's land use designation of Low Density Residential <br />(LR-7). A zone change to Single-Family Residence (R1) is required to <br />facilitate the applicant's request. <br /> <br />As part of a General Plan land use consistency effort, the zone change <br />will also include the rezoning of eight additional properties within the same <br />block to Single-Family Residence (R1) <br /> <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed <br />project has been determined to be adequately evaluated in previously <br />prepared Environmental Impact Report No. 97-01, <br /> <br />F= <br /> <br />This Council, prior to taking action on this ordinance, held a duly noticed <br />public hearing on September 3, 2002, on Amendment Application No. <br />2002-08. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. NS-2515 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
