SANTA ANA CITY HALL Board met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Pres. Mitchell. Present: Trustees Tubbs, Chapman, Dale & Greenleaf Minutes of Feb. 21st and 2~th read and approved. In Re Application H. E. Manatt In Re . A,rplication J. P. Hayhurat In Re Petition- Oil & Gravel Spur geon Street In Re Assembly Bills :;os. 230 and 231 In Re Bond of E. ~.~. Whitney -Cement Contractor Main St. by Tubbs, Tubbs, The application of H. E. Manatt for a permit to install an electric Barber Poll at his place of Business 50? N. was on motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded referred to a committee; Trustees Greenlesf and being appointed as such committee. The application of John P. Hayhurst for permission to out the 6~trb at 20~ ~. Sycamore and on 2nd between Sycamore 'and Main Sts. for drive ways, was granted on motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by Dale and carried, unde the supervision, of the Street Superintendent. o~ler e In the matter of the petition of proper~n Spu~geon St. between Washington Ave. and 20~h St. to have said por of Stleet improved with gravel and oils pndperty owners to pay for the oil and gravel and the City to do the work of mixing and laying the same, was granted on motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by Tubbs and carried. A communication fromm. J. Looks, Exgcutlve Secretary was read Leagum of Cal. Municipalities/in reference to Assembly Bills 250 and 2~1, pending in the Legislature Bill 2~O a proposed New Franchise Act, and Bi~l No. 2~1 proposing an-amendment to the public utilities act. On motion of True tee Chapman duly seconded by Dale and carried, City Atty. Scott was instructed to draft a Reso- lution opposing the two measures and to submit the Reso- lution to the President of the Board for approval and sam the Orange Cou~lty representative~at J to be forwarded to Sacramento. The Bond of E. W. Whitney for $500.00 as principal and H. P. Opp and F. Frmk as sureties to do private contract cement sidewalk & curbing was, on motion of Trustee Tubbs duly seconded by Chapman, referred to the chair for approval.
