In Re <br /> <br />Protest <br /> <br />Widening Bristol St. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Bids <br /> <br />Durant Street <br /> <br />Paving. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />neso. 801 <br />Garnsey St. <br /> <br />Improvement. <br /> <br />:81 <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbs <br />and carried, the Board sustained the protest of propert2 <br />owners in the matter of widening Bristol Street from <br />1Vth Street north to Santiago Creek% <br /> <br />This belu~ the tine and r]ace for reception of bids for <br />work to be done and imrrovement to be made upon a norttc <br />of Durant Street, an open public street in the city of <br />Santa End, the Board of Trustees, beln~ duly convened in <br />owen session, publicly opened, examined and declared all <br />sealed proposals or bids for doin~ the work; Bi~s were <br />received os follows: <br /> <br /> Item 1. ~e re~radlng to a sub,fade <br /> and the ].ayin~ of ~ 5 ~nch concrete pavement <br /> with belt finish wearing surface, complete with <br /> the furnishing of all necessary equipment, au~ <br /> material on an estimate of 27,110 square feet. <br /> <br /> Item 2. The trenching, furnishing and <br /> laying of house branch sewers, from the main <br /> sewer to the curb line complete with furnishing <br /> of all necessary equipment and material on an <br /> <br /> estimate of 20 linear feet. <br /> <br />Bidder Item No. 1. Item No. 2 <br />B. R. Ford 21~ p~ sq. ft. 90~ per lin.ft <br />Wells & Bressler 23~ " " " 60~ " " " <br /> <br /> The bid or proposal of B. R. Ford being the <br />lowest regular bid of a responsible bidder, the Board of <br />Trustees rejected ail the bids except that of B. R. Ford <br />and awarded to him the contract for doing said work. <br />Thereupon, Trustee W.A.Greenleaf introduced a resolution <br />awarding to B. R. Wo~d the contract for doing the work <br />and making the improvement ordered upon a portion of <br />Durant Street. <br /> <br /> The resolution w~s ordered fi]ed, read, <br />considered, designated Resolution of Award No. 800, and <br />upon call of t~e roll passed by the following na~ed <br />n~embers of the Board of Trustees: <br /> <br /> Ayes: Trustees J. W. Tubbs, C.H. Chapman, H.H. Da]e, <br /> <br /> W. A. Greenleaf, John ~.
