On motion of Trustee Chapman, <br />duly seconded by Dale and carried, same was referred to <br />the Board ss a Committee of the whole. <br /> <br />An invitation from the Chamber of Commerce to take part <br />in the Armistice Day Parade to be held at Fullerton, wa~ <br />read, and, on motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by <br />Greenleaf, mame was referred to the Board as a Committee <br />of the whole. <br /> <br />An invitation from the city of Calexico to attend their <br />first Xnts~ational Cotton Exhibit, November 4th to llth <br />was read. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded <br />by Chapman and carried, same was accepted and placed on <br />file. <br /> <br />hesoluti~n adopted by, th~ Council of the city of Los <br />Angeles urging the defeat of propositions Nos. 10 and 11 <br />on the ballot for November Vth, was read, and on motion <br />of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, <br />accepted and placed on file. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Ohapn~n, duly seconded by Dale and <br />carried, the application of E~ J. Best for permission to <br />move a small building ~nto lot at 806 West Fourth St. <br />same to be used as real estate office, was referred to <br />the Poli'ce Committee. <br /> <br />~n motion of Trustae Chapman, duly seconded by Greenlea <br /> <br />~nd carried, the a~plications for street lights on <br /> <br />Halladay Street between Chestnut and McFadden Streets <br /> <br />and on West Myrtle Street between Flower and Shelton <br />Streets, was referred t~o the Street Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of ~ustee Chap~n, duly seconded by Dale and <br />carried, the application of F~ed Mortensen for permissio <br />to conduct a wrestling exhibition at American Legion <br />Hall, was referred to the Police Committee. <br /> <br /> <br />
