On motion of Trustee Chapman, duly seconded by Dale and carried, same was referred to the Board ss a Committee of the whole. An invitation from the Chamber of Commerce to take part in the Armistice Day Parade to be held at Fullerton, wa~ read, and, on motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Greenleaf, mame was referred to the Board as a Committee of the whole. An invitation from the city of Calexico to attend their first Xnts~ational Cotton Exhibit, November 4th to llth was read. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, same was accepted and placed on file. hesoluti~n adopted by, th~ Council of the city of Los Angeles urging the defeat of propositions Nos. 10 and 11 on the ballot for November Vth, was read, and on motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, accepted and placed on file. On motion of Trustee Ohapn~n, duly seconded by Dale and carried, the application of E~ J. Best for permission to move a small building ~nto lot at 806 West Fourth St. same to be used as real estate office, was referred to the Poli'ce Committee. ~n motion of Trustae Chapman, duly seconded by Greenlea ~nd carried, the a~plications for street lights on Halladay Street between Chestnut and McFadden Streets and on West Myrtle Street between Flower and Shelton Streets, was referred t~o the Street Committee. On motion of ~ustee Chap~n, duly seconded by Dale and carried, the application of F~ed Mortensen for permissio to conduct a wrestling exhibition at American Legion Hall, was referred to the Police Committee.
