RESOLUTION NO. 52-37 <br /> <br />APPLYING FOR A WITHDRAWAL OF AN APPROVED APPLICATION <br /> (Application No. ~0/~45) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the State of California under Chapter 20, <br />Statutes of 1948 (First Extra Session), as amended, has appropri- <br />ated funds to provide financial assistance to local agencies, <br />defined therein as counties, cities, or cities and counties of the <br />State of California, so that they may engage in a large public <br />works construction program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha, hereinafter called "Local <br />Agency" has submitted to the Director of Finance or the State <br />Allocation Board, under the aforesaid Act and the rules and regu- <br />lations prescribed thereunder, an application for an allotment in <br />the sum of SB83,SB~.l~ as the State's share of the estimated cost <br />of construction of a public works project, described in said <br />application as "Santa Ana Sewer Construction Project", which <br />application is identified under the above application number; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the State Allocation Board at its meeting held <br />on April B1, 19~, approved the aforesaid application and allotted <br />to the Local Agency by Resolution No. ~ll the sum of $~83,5~.14. <br /> <br /> WHh~EAS, the City of Santa Aha desires to withdraw the <br />aforesaid application because the City of Santa Aha has been <br />relieved of the responsibility for the construction of the Santa <br />Aha Nain Outfall Sewer and construction of two intercepting sewers <br />as contemplated in the Application, in as mnch as the work will <br />now be done by County Sanitation District No. l, of the Orange <br />County Sanitation Districts, said District having voted and sold <br />bonds for the p~pose of constructing said project. <br /> <br /> NOW THEBEFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby requests the State Allocation Board to withdraw the afore- <br />said application and rescind Resolution No. Bll. <br /> <br /> <br />
