R.Fowler. <br /> <br />A communioa~on from the Mayor of the City of <br /> <br />Cleveland sent by air with the Glenn L. Martin <br />plame, was ~ead, expressing the hope that the <br /> <br />flight would result in closer relations between <br /> <br />the two cities. On mctio~ of Trustee McBride, <br /> <br />seconded by Goode and carried, the c o~m~unication <br />was accepted and the President of the Board, Mr. <br />Purinton, was instructed to acknowledge same and <br />invite the Mayor of Cleveland to visit Santa Ara <br />at some future date in an a~rcplane. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee ~cBride, seconded by Knox <br />and carried, the Clerk was instructed to notify <br />the City of Anaheim4 that the members of the Boa~ <br />will be pleased to attend the dedication of the <br />Open Air Theatre, July 15th, 1927, and to have <br />seats reserved for eighteen people. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Communications from Guggenhime & Company were rea~ <br />relative to ~he paving of the Southern Pacific <br />Company's right of way on Fruit Street in front <br />Guggenhime & Company's warehouse. On'motion of <br />Trustee McBride, seconded by Goods and carried, <br />the matter was referred to th~ City Manager, <br />Attorney and Engineer for investigation. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goods, seconded by McBride <br />and carried, the communication and petition for <br />cancellation of taxes on property held by the <br />~eterans' Welfare Board were referred to the City <br />Manager. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goods, seconded by McBride <br />and carried, tbs application of J. R. Fe~er for <br />position of Bakery ~nspector of the City of Santa <br />Ana was sooepted and ordered placed on file for <br />future reference. <br /> <br /> <br />
