W. Whitney in amount of $800.00 <br />for Cement Sidewalk and Curbing, was referred to the <br />Chair for approval or disapproval. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Collier, seconded by Goode and <br />carried, reports of the various City Officers for the <br />month of December were referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Collier and <br />carried, the Clerk was authorized to d~aw w~rrants cov- <br />ering demands as audited by the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />Oommunication from the Park Commission approving ideas <br />of the Planning Commission and recommending the entire <br />re-organization of Birch Park, was presented and on mo- <br />tion of Trustee McPhee, seconded by Chapman and carried, <br />same was accepted and ordered place on file for future <br />reference. <br /> <br />A petition for street light signed by a majority of the <br />property owners on North Garnsey, from Washington to <br />l§th Sts., was presented and on motion of Trustee McPhee <br />seconded by Goode and carried, a light was ordered in- <br />stalled on North Garnsey midway between Washington and <br />18th Street; light to be 100 candle power. <br /> <br />A request from G. G. Latimer asking the City to take <br />steps to improve the railroad crossing at Bishop, Har- <br />wood and Grant Streets was read and on motion of Trustee <br />Ooode, seconded by Chapman and carried, the City Attor~ <br /> <br />ney was instructed to request an easement <br />Pacific Electric Railyay Company on these <br /> <br />from the <br />streets. <br /> <br />Building Inspector Decker was before the Board asking <br />if they were desirous in allowing him to issue a special <br />permit for the building of apsrtments at 3rd and Ross <br />Streets, which would deviate from the regular fire- <br />proof building which is allowed in Fire District No. 1. <br />On motion of Trustee McPhee, seconded by Chapman and <br />carried, Mr. Decker was instructed to abide by the <br />building ordinance now in effect. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />A communication from the Motor Transit Company was pre- <br />sented, with reference to the payment of City License <br />in the City. On motion of Trustee Collier, seconded by <br />Chapman and carried, the conm~unication was referred to <br />the City Attorney. <br /> <br /> <br />
