Corp. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Bids- <br /> <br />Culvert & Gutters. <br /> <br />for t he paving of South Main Street, in view <br />that work was ordered ~one. <br /> <br />of the fact <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McPhee, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the Board of Trustees aantioned the sending of <br />Robert Bradford to Ban Francisco as an entrant in the <br />National Federated Music Clubs' contest and in the event <br />he won this contest, to be sent to Portland and Chicago. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McPhee and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was authorized to sign the Board's appro- <br />val to Map Tract No. 848, a subdivision within the three <br />mile limit of the City. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chapman and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was authorized to sign the Board's appro- <br />val to Map Tract No. 834, a subdivision partly within <br />and partly without the three mile limit of the City. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />Mr. George Wells appeared before the Board urging that <br />the Board take steps to clean up the vacant lots and <br />p~operty owners be forced to cut weeds twice a year, also <br />suggesting that the weeds be cut with a scythe an~ left <br />to dry until midsummer, when the lots be cleared an~ the <br />trash burned. On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by <br />Collier and carried, the City Engineer was instructed to <br />gather necessary information for the drafting of a Weed <br />Ordinance to take effect at the ear,st possible date. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />Two deeds were presented, covering the right to construct <br />a pipe line for irrigation purposes across Block X and Y <br />of Tract No. 159, from the First National Bank of Santa <br /> <br />Ana and from Richard I. Mathewa <br /> <br />his wife. On motion of Trustee <br /> <br />mand and carried, the Clerk was <br />acceptance of the Board and have the same <br /> <br />and Nell Hoke Mathews, <br />Good e, seconded by Chap- <br />instructed to attach <br /> <br /> recorded. <br /> <br />This being the time and place to which action on the gas- <br />oline bids was deferred, on motion of Trustee Goode, <br />seconded by Chapman and carried, the Oid of the General <br />Petroleum Corporation was accepted ahd the Clerk was in- <br />structed to return all checks to unsuccessful bidders <br />and the City Attorney to prepare contract for the furnish- <br />ing of gasoline to the Street Department for one year. <br /> <br />This being the time and place set for opening bids for <br />Zhe const~'uction of one rail top reinforced concrete <br />culvert and the furnishing and placing of materials for <br />the repair of gutters, and the Board of Trustees being <br /> <br /> <br />
