387 <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Resolution No. 1742 <br /> <br />Culvert & Repair Work <br /> <br />$. Main and S. Flower Sta. <br /> <br />Street, in accordance with Resolution of Intention No. <br />1665, and the Board of Trustees being now in session, <br />proceeded to hear all protests presented. <br /> <br /> No person appearing to protest or show any cause why <br />bonds should not be issued, Trustee Goode introduced a <br />resolution determining the unpaid assessments for work <br />and improvement made upon said streets, the aggregate <br />thereof, directing bonds to be issued for the security of <br />the unpaid assessments, prescribing the denominations of <br />said bonds and providing for the issuance of same in an- <br />nual ser~es. <br /> <br />The resolution was ordered filed, read, considered, <br />designated Resolution No. l?41 and paaeed by the follow- <br /> <br />lng vol:e: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees C.H. Chapman, Geo McPhee, E.B. Collie~ <br /> Stanley E. Goode, F.L. Purinton. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Trustee Goode introduced a resolution entitled as follows <br /> <br /> "Whereas, the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa An~ <br />did publicly open and declare bids this 21st day of March <br />1927, for the construction of culverts and the repair of <br />the roadway upon those public streets in said City, known <br />as South Main Street and South Flower Street,as particu- <br />larly set forth in the plans and specifications for said <br />improvement heretofore adopted and on file; and <br /> ~ereas, Sa~d Board has by motion duly adopted this <br />21st day of March, 1927, rejected all bids on file for <br />doing said work. <br /> Now, Therefore, Resolved, that in the opinion of said <br />Board of Trustees the said work in question may be per- <br />formed more economically by dgy labor and the materials <br />or supplies therefor can be furnished at ~ lower price in <br />the open market. <br /> Be Yt Further Resolved, that the City Engineer of s a~d <br />City proceed to have said work done and improvement made <br />by day labor and that the materials necessary therefor be <br />purchased by said City in tke open ~arket and that maid <br />work be done by said Cit~ ~s set forth in the plans and <br />specifications therefor." <br /> <br />The resolution was ordered filed, designated Mesolutlon <br /> <br />No. 1742, read and considered, and upon call of the roll <br /> <br />passed by the vote of the following named members of the <br /> <br />Board of Trustees: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees C.H.
