Mc Clure was appointed Pound Mas- <br />ter and Special Police Officer of the City of Santa <br />Aha at a salary of $118.00 a month plus $28.00 for <br />car allowance. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and <br />carried, the Clerk was authorized to draw warrants <br />covering demands audited by the Finance Committee <br />of A.E. Fowler, $122.00; Harry Hanson, Sec'y Band, <br />$259.00; and Hickman Bros.,$208.25, the demand of <br />the Dorr Company was referred to a corm~ittee of <br />Trustee Knox, Goode and McBride. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goo de, seconded by Knox and <br /> <br />carried, the Southern California Edison Company <br />was givem permission to install underground condu~ <br />on Second Street from Sycamore to French Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Knox, seconded by McBride and <br />carried, Griffith Company wa~ granted sixty days <br />extension of time for finishing contract work on <br />N. Ross Str~et. <br /> <br />On motion of Trumtee Kelly, seconded by Goode and <br /> <br />carried, a com~itteecomposed of TrusteesMcBrlde, <br />Kelly and Knox, was appointed 'to inspect land held <br />under option ~ C.S.X~lly located on N. Bristol St. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by ~cBride and <br />carried, F. L. Purinton, President of the Board, <br />was granted a leave of absence from the State for <br /> <br />a period of one month. <br /> <br />This being the time to which action on bids submit- <br />ted for the Installation and constructi~ o~ an <br />ornamental lighting system on portions of Third, <br />Fourth and Sycamore Streets, as briefly described <br />in Resolution No. 1740, was deferred, and the Board <br />being now in regular session, it was determined, <br />after checking, that the bid of Drew Bernard was <br />the lowest bid eu~itt~.
