R SO ION NO. 52-5! RESOLUTION PROPOSING TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, DESCRIBING SAID TERRITORY, GIVING NOTICE OF THE TIME AND PLACE OF PUBLIC HEARING THEREON, ~ ALL PROTESTS WILL BE HEARD AND PASSED UPON, DESIG- NATING THE NAME OF "NORTH MAIN STREET ANNEXATION" AS AN APPROPRIATE NAME. FOR SAID TERRITORY Wrr~EAS, ~0HNW. PRENTISS and HEST~R M. PRENTISS, and JAMES E. PRENTISS and MAUDE Z. PRENTISS have filed a petition requesting that the City of Santa Ann, California annex certain uninhabited terri- tory to said City, consenting in writing that the property within said territory may be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of the said City contracted prior to such annexation; and WHerEAS, the Council of the City of Orange, California and the Orange County Boundary Commission have each expressed their approval and consent to such annexation and filed certified copies of the ac- tion so doing, with the City Clerk of the City of Santa Ann; NOW, TMEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Council of the City of Santa ann hereby declares its intention to annex all that certain territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Ter- ritory Act of 1931, and finds and hereby declares that said terri- tory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered voters residing in it on ~une 2, 1951, the date when said petition was filed, and which said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ann, California, lies in the County of Orange, and is described as: Beginning at the intersection of the West line of Main Street {66' wide) with the South line of Section 31, Township ~ South, Range 9 West, S.B.B. & M., said point of intersection being an angle point in the boundary line of the City of Santa Ann, California; thence Northerly along said boundary line and said West line of Main Street 150 feet; thence Easterly parallel to the South line of said Section 31 a distance of 211.25 feet; thence Southerly parallel to the said West line of Main Street 150 feet to a point in the South line of said Section 31, said point being also a point in said boundary line; thence Westerly along the South line of said Section 31 and said boundary line 211.25 feet to the point of beginning.
