Vehring at the Joint Outfall Sewer <br />has been completed accc~ding to plans, specificationa <br />and contract for the construction of the sewage pumping <br />station and final payment be made, retainiD~ 15% of the <br />total amount of contract price for a period of 35 days <br />after date of acceptance. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br /> <br />ried, the resignation of <br />the Planning Commission, <br /> <br />S. H. Finley as President of <br />was accepted with regrets. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, applications for the following electric signs were <br />granted under the supervision of the Electrical Inspector <br /> <br />William W. Ross <br />D. H. Litten <br />John P. Stinglen <br /> <br />524 E. First St. <br />505 N. Main St. <br />4th & Broadway. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Chancy and car- <br />ried, petitions for paving Palm Avenue between Wright and <br />Mabury with Portland Cement Concrete and counter t <br />for pavin~ the street with Asphaltic Cement, were refer- <br />red to the City Manager fc~ checking to report back. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, tb~ petition of the Ve~eran~' Welfare Board reques- <br />ting the cancallation of taxes on Lot §, Block D, Tract <br />No. 390, Edgewood Park Blocks C. and D, was referred to <br />the City Attorney to report back in one week. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the reports for the month of June of the various <br />city officers were referred to the Finance Conmnittee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chancy and car- <br />tied, the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants for <br />demands as audited by the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />Messrs. Franklin West and Chas. VanWyck appeared before <br />the City Council requesting the sum of $400.00 for ex- <br />penses in sending the Auxiliary Glee Club to Stockton <br /> <br />~ attend the Annual Convention. On motion of Trustee <br />Goode, seconded by Chancy and carried, the request of <br />the American Legion was referred to the City Manager and <br />taken under advisement for one week. <br /> <br /> <br />
