On motion of Trustee McBride <br />seconded by Goode and carried, the City Ensineer was <br />instructed to prepare plans and specifications for the <br />pavirg of Palm Avenue between Wright and Mabury with <br />five inch asphaltic pavement. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Chancy and oar <br />tied, the City Manager was instructed to investigate <br />traffic congestion at First and Main Streets caused by <br />produce peddlers. <br /> <br />A resolution adopting plans and specifications for the <br />improvement ~o be made upon' and along Baker Street <br />between First and Fourth, was filed, read, considered, <br />designated ~esolution No. 19V1 and passed by the follow- <br />ing vote: <br /> <br /> A~es, Trustees J. Furinton <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />This being the time and place fixed for the opening of <br />bids or preposals for the w~k ordered done and improve- <br />ment made upon a portion of Broadway and Riverside Drive <br />and briefly described in Resolution of Intention No. <br />1958, and the City Council being duly convened in open <br />session proceeded to and did publicly open, examine and <br />declare all bids received as follows: <br /> <br />Item No. 1. The grading to a subgrade and the placing <br />thereon of an Asphaltic Concrete pavement having a total <br />thickness of six (6) inches, complete with the furnish- <br />ing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for <br />the sum of $ per square foot. <br />Item No. Z. -T~-~adingto a subgrade and the placing <br />thereon of an Asphaltice Concrete pavement having a <br />total thickness of five (5) inches, complete with th~ 3 ' <br />furnishing of all~eceaear~ equipment, labc~ and material <br />for the sum ~f $ per square foot. <br />Item No. 5. The excavation for and the construction of <br />Portland Cmzent Concrete Curbs, complete with the fur- <br />nishi~ of all necessary equipment, labor and material <br />for the sum of $ per linear foot. <br />Item No. A.
