No. 2002 <br /> <br />Ordering Work <br /> <br />Ross Street. <br /> <br />321 <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was <br />accepted and the application of Al. Adrian to locate a <br />service station on the southwest corner of Fifth and <br />Flower Streets was granted. <br /> <br />Upon motion of Trustee Chancy, seconded by McBride and <br />carried, the City Attorney was instructed to sign appli- <br />cations in the case of the City of Santa Aha vs. Louis <br />Ewing, et al, being for the opening of North Sycamore <br />Street, with certain defendants stipulating that Judg- <br />ment might be entered against the City of Santa Aha as <br />to Parcel No. 10, described in the complaint, and known <br />as the Shields property, for the sum of $5B0.00; and <br />that Judgment might be entered against the City of Santa <br />Ana as to Parcel No. 4, described in the complaint, and <br />known as the Clark property, for the sum of $480.00; and <br />that Judgment might be entered against the City of Santa <br />Aha as to Parcel No. 9, described in the complaint; and <br />known as the Fluor property for the sum of $400.00; and <br />that Judgment might be entered against the City of Santa <br />Ana as to Parcel No. 8, described in the complaint, and <br />known as the Fluor property, for the sum of $1100.00; <br />and th-t Judgment might be entered against the City of <br />Santa Ana as to Parcel No. 24, described in the <br />and known as the Smiley property, for the sum of <br />that said motion was carried by the following stated vote <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees J.L. McBride, W.J. Kelly, Homer C. <br /> Chancy, Stanley E. Good,. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Absent, Trustees F.L. Purinton. <br /> <br />This being the time and place set forth in Resolution of <br />Intention No. 1991 to order ~he work done and <br />made upon and along Ross Street and Sixteenth Street, <br />the C~ty Council being duly convened in open session, <br />proceeded to hear and pass upon all protests presented. <br />No owner of property liable to be assessed for said work <br />made written protest or any pretest against the proposed <br />work or against the extent of the district to be <br />therefor and no person appearing to protest or object or <br />show any cause why the improvement should not be carried <br />out in accordance with Resolution of Intention No-. 19~1, <br />the City Council deemed that it had acquired Jurisdicti, <br />to order the proposed improvement. A resolution was <br />introduced ordering the work to be done and improvement <br />made as briefly set out in ResolUtion of Intention No. <br />19~1.
