Diagram <br /> <br />Halladay & McFadden Sts. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Kelly and carried, <br />the recommendation of the Chief of Police that Rollen H.Drake <br />be appointed as. Special Police Officer of the City of Santa <br />Aha without pay, his authority to be exercised on and about <br />the school grounds, was granted. <br /> <br />Matter of parking of high school students' cars on Ross Street <br />between Walnut and Pine was investigated and cooperation of <br />school authorities secured and action taken that machines of <br />students will hereafter be parked on school side. <br /> <br />Mr. Kaufman appeared before the Board rep~esenting a <br />delegation from East First Street in regard to widening of and <br />installation of lights. No action taken. <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Goode, seconded by Chancy and carried, <br />the recommendation of the Planning Cozmnisslon that pe~nission <br />be granted Dr. D. A. Harwood to erect an office building at <br />the corner of Walnut and Orange Avenues, building to be <br />erected $ feet from the curb instead of 6 feet, was accepted <br />and application ordered placed on file for future reference. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Chaney and carried, <br />the recoNm~endation of the Planning Commission was accepted, <br />and the City Engineer instructed to post property for special <br />uses on the application of V;. C. Meynolds, Pastor of the Free <br />Methodist Church located at 311 Fruit Street, to build an <br />addition on their property and move present building to <br />another location on the lot. Hearing date was set for <br />October 1st. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by l~icBride and carried, <br />the recormuendation of the Planning Commission that City Council <br />take such action as is feasible toward the development of <br />Flower Street as a main traffic artery, particularly with <br />regard to futu~e improvements between the north city limits <br />and Uashington Avenue, was accepted. Action on this matter <br />was deferred for one week. <br /> <br />A resolution was introduced approving assessment diagram <br />covering the work and improvement in, on and along portions <br />of Halladay Street and McFadden Street, in accordance with <br />Resolution of Intention No. 1976.
