<br />on the 1st day of October, 1928, and in the specifica-
<br />tions therefor referred to in said Resolution, have not
<br />made written objections going to the entirety of the
<br />things herein proposed to be done;
<br /> 2. That the boundaries of the ~ssessment
<br />District for said Acquisition and Improvement District
<br />No. 3 as proposed in said Resolution of IntentiOn, are
<br />hereby adopted and established as the boundaries of sai~
<br />Assessment District.
<br /> 3. That the public interest and necessity
<br />requires and it is hereby ordered, that the following
<br />acquisition for the widening of East First Street in the
<br />City of Santa Aha be made, to-wit:
<br /> A strip of land five (5) feet wide lying
<br />of and immediately adjacent to the North line of First
<br />Street and extending ~rom the Easterly line of Main
<br />Street to a Northwesterly and Southeasterly line inter-
<br />secting~the Southerly line of First Street at a point
<br />distant 15.35 feet Easterly from the Northeasterly cor-
<br />ner of Lot l, Block A, Bailey's ^ddition as recorded in
<br />Book 21, Page 12, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
<br />County, California, the included angle between the said
<br />Northwesterly and Southeasterly line and the Southerly
<br />line of First Street being 63° 26' 10" excepting from
<br />s~id five foot strip ofland any and all portions
<br />used for street and alley purposes and also excepting
<br />that portion lying between lines drawn parallel to and
<br />distant 4.5 feet, measured at right angles to the cen-
<br />ter lines and on each side of all railroad tracks.
<br /> Also a strip of land five (5) feet wide lying
<br />South of and immediately adjacent to the Southerly line
<br />of ~irst Street and extending from the Easterly line of
<br />Main Street to a line drawn parallel to and distant
<br />15.35 feet Easterly, as measured along the Southerly
<br />line of First Street,from the Easterly line of Lot l,
<br />Block A, of said Bailey's Addition, excepting from said
<br />five foot strip of land any and all portions thereof
<br />used for street and alley purposes and also excepting
<br />that portion lying between lines drawn parallel to and
<br />distant 4.5 feet measured at right angles to the center
<br />lines and on each side of all Railroad Tracks.

<br />All as set forth and described in said Resolution of
<br />Intention No. 2020, pas~ed snd adopted October l, 1928,
<br />and in the specifications referred to, and that the pro-
<br />perty necessary to be taken 'for such widening of East
<br />First Street, and which is hereby ordered to be acquired
<br />therefor, is that described in Section 1 of said Reso-
<br />lution of Intention.
<br /> 4. That the City Attorney of the City of Sant
<br />Ana is hereby ordered to bring an action in the name of
<br />the City of Santa Ana, in the Superior Cou~t of the
<br />State of California, in and for the County of Orange,
<br />for the condemnation of the property necessary to be
<br />taken for the acquisition ordered in paragraph 3 h~reof,
<br />and described in SeCtion I of said Resolution of Inten-
<br />tion No. 2020, and to do all things necessary to prose-
<br />cute said act%on to final determination.
<br /> 5. That to defray the expenses of the acqui-
<br />sition herein ordered bonds will be issued to the total
<br />amount of the same, said bonds to bear interest at the
<br />rate of seven percent per annum, payable semi-annually,
<br />and the aggregate principal of all bonds issued to be
<br />paid and discharged within thirteen (13) years after the
<br />date of issuance, approximately one-tenth of said aggre-
<br />gate principa$ to be paid annually, all in gold coin,
<br />and that a special fund for the payment of said bonds
<br />will be constituted by the levy of special assessment
<br />taxes upon the lands withln the Assessment District,
<br />according to the assessed value of said lands, exclusive
<br />of the improvements thereon, and in the manner provided
<br />by the provisions of the said act under which said ac-
<br />quisition proceedings are had and taken, the first pay-
<br />ment of the aggregate principal on the bonds issued will
<br />be made three years after the issuance thereof.
<br /> 6. That the proceedings for said acquisition
<br />shall be had and taken under and in accordance with an
<br />Act of the Legislature of the State of California, known
<br />and designated as the "Acquis~ion and Improvement Act of!
<br />1925", approved May 23, 1925, and amendments thereto,
<br />and said bonds shall also be issued in accordance with
<br />the provisions of said Act.
<br /> The foregoing Resolution was duly and regular.

<br />Aha at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held on the
<br />22nd day o2 October, 1928, by the following vote, to-wit
