Allen to conduct dances <br /> at 518~ E. 5rd Street on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturda <br /> nights, was referred to the Manager and Chief of Polic <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Knox, seconded by McBride and car- <br /> ried, the application of the Cope Electric Company to <br /> install an electric sign for ~. B. Ashford at 515 ~. <br /> ~th Street, was granted under the supervision of the <br /> Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee ~nox, seconded by Kelly and carrie¢ <br /> the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee to in- <br /> vestigate the application of Robertson Electric Corpor- <br /> ation to connect an alarm system at the Smart & Final <br /> Company's Warehouse on E. First Street to the City Fir~ <br /> Alarm System. The City Manager, Electrical Inspector <br /> and Fire Chief were appointed as such committee. <br /> <br /> ,, <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Ooode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br /> ried, the petition of property owner to change the zon~ <br /> on First Street from O~P~ess to Garfield from single <br /> family residence zone to industrial zone, was referred <br /> to the Planning Commission. On recommendation of the <br /> Planning Commission and on motion of Trustee Goode, <br /> seconded by Knox and carried, the City Engineer was <br /> instructed to post property on First Street fr,m CypreS~ <br /> to Garfield for change of zone and the hearing date set <br /> February l~th, before the City Council and Planning <br /> Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Knox and car- <br />ried, the Mayor was authorized to appoint a committee <br />~to investigate a proposal made by the Spanish American <br />War Veterans to clear the old lu~nber from the Olive <br />Street property and asking the City to dedicate, for a <br />period of years, the use of ground adequate for the <br /> <br /> <br />
