Purinton. <br /> <br />Absent: Tru~t~es None. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Minutes. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Petitions <br /> <br />Ornamental Lights <br /> <br />Southeast Lighting District. <br /> <br />n Re <br />Contract with <br /> <br />Spanish American War Veterans. <br /> <br />Stol-m Waters <br /> <br />Southwesterly District. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Invitation <br /> <br />City Councils Assn. <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> <br />February 20, 1928. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />A copy of the minutes of February 6th and 14th having <br />been furnished each member of the City Council, on mo- <br />tion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and carried, <br />it was decided to dispense with the reading of the min- <br />utes for this meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Harry L. Oaspar presented petitions of property <br />owners for ornamental lights on all streets between <br />First Street and McFadden and between Main Street and <br />Halladay Street, al~o all streets between McFadden Stre~ <br />and the South City Limits and between Main Street and <br />Maple Street. Tha motion of Trmstee McBride to take <br />petitions under advisement for one week was lost by not <br />receiving a second. On motion of Trustee Knox, seconde, <br />by Goode and carried, the City Engineer was instructed <br />to prepare plans and specifications for the installatt( <br />of ornamental lights known as King Standard No. K-O106 <br />according to petitions presented. <br /> <br />On motion of Tr'ustee Knox, seconded by Goode and carrie5 <br />the City ~anager was instructed to enter into a contract <br />with the Spanish American War Veterans for the sum of <br />five dollars for removal of lumber of the Sixth and <br />Olive Street reservoir. <br /> <br />Mr. Flake Smith appeared before the City Council request <br />lng that some action be taken relative to storm waters <br />draining on his property in the southwestern part of th~ <br />City. On motion of Trustee ~,~cBz.de, seconded by Goode, <br />and carried, the City Engineer was instructed to submit <br />a plan and estimated for taking care of storm waters <br />originating in the northern part of the City and for th, <br />installation of a booster, pump to dispose of waters. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Knox and car- <br />ried, the invitation of the Orange County Association <br />City Councils was accepted to attend their meeting at <br />La Habra on Tuesds. y, February 28th at V:30 P.M. and the <br />Clerk instructed to inform V.~.J. Carmichael, Secretary <br />of the Association of the action of the City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
