Yost <br /> <br />In re <br /> <br />R'~o,~I~I~NO. 1891 <br /> <br />Steel Tank and <br />Steel Tower <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall <br /> <br />February 24th, 1928 7:30 <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goods, seconded by McBride and <br />carried, the City Manager and City Engineer were <br />instructed to attend a conference to discuss matters <br />of mutual water interest to i~ bJald February 29th, 1928 <br />at Long Beach. <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Goode, seconded by McBride and <br />carried, the Clerk was instructed to issue a license to <br />Myers & Clark to operate a City taxi business at 207 <br />West Fourth Street. <br /> <br />Mr. Geo. A. Raymer, President of the Chamber of Commerc, <br />appeared before the ~oard requesting a warrant in the <br />amount of $333.00, to be used in the interest of securi <br />a dirigible air base for the Pacific Coast. , <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goods, seconded by Kelly and <br />carried, the Clerk was instructed to draw a warrant in <br />the amount of $333.00, same to be used for expenses of <br />delegation to be sent to Washington, D.C. in the <br />interest of securing the U.S. Government dirigible air <br />base for the Pacific Coast. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Knox, seconded by Kelly and <br />carried, the application of Mr. H. E. Yost for permiss- <br />ion to decorate Fourth Street from Sycamore to Birch <br />and to decorate Broadway from Third to Fifth with flags <br />etc. to celebrate the installation of Vitaphone and <br />Movietone at the Broadway Theatre, was g~anted. <br /> <br />This being the time and place set for opening bids for <br />construction of steel tank and steel tower, capacity <br />1,000,000 gallons, ~ocated adjoining the Southern <br />Pacific Railroad right-of-way on the West, between <br />Fourteenth and Fifteenth Streets, and the City Council <br />being duly convened in open session proceeded to and <br />did publicly open, examine and declare all bids as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />Llewellyn Iron Works <br />Minneapolis Steel & Machy.
