Plans & Spec. <br />Southeast Lighting Dist. <br /> <br />Hall was awarded to the Hobertson Electric Corporation, <br />at price of $65V.00 being the lowest bid therefor. The <br />Mayor and Clerk were authorized to sign contract with <br />the Robertson Electric Corporation and the Clerk in- <br />structed to return certified check of unsuccessful bidd~ <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Knox, seconded by Goods and car- <br />ried, the C~uncit proceeded to canvass the election re- <br />turns of the Annexation Election of the wes~t 0rar~e <br />Addition to the Cit~ of Santa Ana, being th~ time pro- <br />vided for its regular meeting next after the expiration <br />of three days from' and after the date of said election, <br />held April 2Sth, 1928, as required by law. There was <br />but one election precinct established and provided for <br />the holding of said special election and the v~ole num- <br />ber of votes cast on said proposition in the territory <br />to be annexed as aforesaid 156 and the number of votes <br />cast therein in favor of annexation was 44,~ and the <br />number of votes cast therein against annexation was 92, <br />and the City Council finds that as a result of said <br />election the proposition of annexing said territory to <br />the City of SantaAna Was defeated. <br /> <br />Trustee Kelly introduced a resolution declaring result <br />of the special election held April 25th, 1928, for the <br />Annexation of the West Orange Addition to the City of <br />Santa Ana, showing the proposition was defeated. <br /> <br /> The resolution was ordered filed, read, considered, <br />designated Res0~ution No. 192G and passed by the <br />ing vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees J.L. McBride, V,'.J.Kelly, ?J.G. Knox, <br /> Stanley E. Goods, F.L. Purinton, <br /> <br /> Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Noes, <br />Absent, <br /> <br />Trustees None'. <br /> <br />The Clerk read a Notice of Intention to Circulate a <br />Petition for Annexation of a district lying north of <br />City Limits of Santa Ana, having been filed April 30th, <br />1928. On motion of Trustee McBrid.3, seconded by Goode <br />and carried, a resolution was adopted acknowledging re- <br />ceipt of the Notice of Intention and 'designated Resolu- <br />tion No. 1927 by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees J. L. McBride, UJ.J. Kelly, %~.G. Knox, <br /> Stanley E. Goods, F.L. Purinton. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None; <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br />A resolution adopting plans and specifications for the <br />improvement to be made in Assessment District No. 158 <br />also known as the Southeast Lighting Distriot, was <br /> <br /> <br />
