Joplin. <br /> <br />39,1 <br /> <br />under supervision of the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br />On motion of Grustee Goode, seconded by Chaney and car- <br />ried, the bond of Cope Electric Company for Electrical <br />Contracting was referred to the Chair for approval or <br />disapproval. <br /> <br />On motion of ~rustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car <br />tied, the petition of property owners requesting the <br />opening of N. Flower Street between Fifth and Eighth, <br />was taken under advisement until the Council as a whole <br />City Manager and Engineer make an inspection tour of <br />the property involved. <br /> <br />Property owners on Third Street and Birch Street pre- <br />sented a written protest against the installation of <br />ornamental lights on Third Street between Broadway and <br />Ross Streets and Birch Street between Third and Fourth <br />Streets. On motion of Trustee Chaney, seconded by <br />Goode and carried, the hearing on the installation of <br />ornamental lights on Third Street and Birch Street unde <br />Resolution of Intention No. 2080, was continued for <br />one week. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car. <br />tied, the matter of new bill~ for street improvement <br />laws to be submitted to the State Legislature, was re- <br />ferred to the City Manager and Attorney for investiga- <br />tion, after explanation of same had been made by George <br />Wells. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br /> <br />ried, sidewalk was ordered installed on West Third <br />Street between Western and Artesia Streets. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car. <br />tied, the City ~anager, Engineer and Attorney were <br />instructed to present a recommendation for the amend- <br />ment of rates set forth in the House Moving Ordinance. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, <br />tied, the protest of J. C. <br /> <br /> seconded by Chaney and car- <br /> <br />Joplin,agent of Wm. P. Jopliz <br /> <br />against the assessment on his property on Western Avenu~ <br />on Lot 29, Chandlers' Addition in amount of $750.05, <br />was denied. <br /> <br /> <br />
