Chapman was appointed as a Police Officer <br />for the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />of ornamental <br /> <br />was denied. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chancy and car- <br />ried, protest of property owners against the inst <br /> <br /> lights on Third Street and Birch Street, <br /> <br /> seconded by McBride and car- <br /> ried, all proceedings had under Resolution of Intention <br /> No. 2080 for the installation of ornamental lig~hts on <br /> Third Street and Birch Street, were abandoned. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br /> ried, action on petition of property owners for the <br /> opening of N. Flower Street between Fifth and Eighth, <br /> was continued. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Chancy and car- <br /> ried, the City Attorney was instructed to make applica- <br /> tion to the Railroad Commission for the construction of <br /> subway on E. Fourth Street. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br /> ried, the City Clerk was instructed to draw a warrant in <br /> amount of $500.00 in favor of Chas. D. Swanner, City <br /> Attorney, in payment of expenses and costs connected <br /> with the widening of E. First Street. <br /> <br />A resolution w~as introduced declaring it to be the inten- <br />tion of the City Council to order the paving and otherwis~ <br />improving of North Sycamore Street between Washington <br />Avenue and Seventeenth Street. The resolution was ordere <br />filed, read, cgnsidered, designated Resolution of Inten- <br />tion No. 20?2 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees J.L. McBride, W.J.
