F. Hentges for cement sidewalk <br />and curbing in amount of $890.00, was referred to ~e <br />Chair for approval or disapproval. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chancy and car- <br />ried, the City Engineer was instructed to draw plans <br />and specifications Tot the improving and paving of North <br />Sycamore Street between Washington and Seventeenth Street <br />with a five inch Portland Cement Pavement. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was instructed to advertise f'o~ bids to <br />sell the house of E. M. Smiley now located an Washington <br />Avenue in the center of Sycamore Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the Mayor amd Clerk were instructed to sign a pipe <br />line license agreement wi~h the Atchison, Topeka and <br />Santa Fe Railway Company covering pipe line under their <br />right-of-way between Washington and Seventeenth Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by Chancy and car- <br />ried, the application of George S. Prentice to conduct <br />a garage ~n the building located on the northeast corner <br />of Second and Sycamore Streets, was granted. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion 'of Trustee McBride, seconded by Chancy and car- <br />ried, all proceedings had under Resolution of Intention <br />No. 2038 for the closing of Pine Street and Walnut Street <br />were abandoned. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was instructed to advertise fc~ bids <br />for water pipe according to plans and specifications on <br />file in the Water Superintendent's Office. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chancy and car- <br />ried, the City Attorney was instructed to noEify propriet <br />of service station at the morner of First and Cypress. <br />Avenue to change the angle of their Neon electric sign, <br />for the reason that it is a menace to public hafety at <br />the present angle. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the City Manager was instructed to have suitable <br />markers made and placed on all trees in the City Parks, <br />at the expense of the City and the Clerk to notify the <br /> <br /> <br />
