Santa Aha City Hall. <br /> <br />February 24th, 1930. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular adjourned session. <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Purinton. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees J.L. McBride, W.J. Kelly, <br />Homer C. Chaney, Stanley E. Goode, F.L. Purinton. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Certificate--Annexation <br />of West Orange Road Addn. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Cow2nunication <br /> <br />State Safety Conference. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />Vet. of Foreign Wars. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Petition to <br /> <br />Rezone W. 3rd St. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Health Report. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Easements <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer <br /> <br />& Water Pipe Line. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the con~nunication and certificate from Frank C. <br />Jordan, Secretary of State, covering the annexation of <br />territory known as West Orange Road Addition, were <br />accepted and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seca~ ded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the communication from the Safety Conference of <br />the California State Chamber of Commerce with reference <br />to enforcement of law prb?iding that vehicles shall st~ <br />before proceeding over railroad crossings, was accepted <br />and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chancy and car- <br />ried, the application of the Veterans of Foreign Wars <br />requesting permission for the Craft Greater Shows to <br />show during the week commencing March 17th, 1930, at the <br />corner of Third & Lacy Streets, was referred to a com- <br />mittee to report back in one week. Trustees Goode, <br />Chaney and Kelly appointed as such committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the petition of property owners signed by H. J. <br />Roberts, M. G. Johns and others, requesting the rezoning <br />of property on the north side of West Third Street from <br />Ross to Patton from apartment zone to business zone, was <br />referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the report of the Health Department for the month <br />of January was referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, easements for sanitary sewer and water pipe line <br />on Lowell Street from Charles and Esther M. Baldwin and <br />from F. H. Baker, were accepted and the Clerk instructed <br />to have same recorded. <br /> <br />~oll Call: Ayes, Trustees J.L. McBride, Stanley E. <br /> Goode, F.L.
