No. 2175 <br /> <br />Award--Acq. & Improvement <br /> <br />Bonds in District No. 4. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chaney and car- <br />ried, the ordinance defining, licensing and regulating <br />the painting, constructing and erectinE of commercial <br />signs was referred back to the City Attorney. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the resignation of Homer C. Chaney as Councilman <br />and Trustee of the Third Ward of the City of~ Santa Aha, <br />was taken under advisement. <br /> <br />This being the time and place when and where interested <br />persons might appear and shG~ cause why bonds should not <br />be issued upon the security of the unpaid assessments <br />for work done and improvement made upon Ross Street and <br />SantaClara Avenue, in accordance with Resolution of <br />Intention No. 2113 and the City Council being now in <br />session, proceeded to hear all protests presented. <br /> <br /> Ne.person appearing to protest or show any cause why <br />bonds should not be issued a resolution was introduced <br />determining the unpaid assessments for work and improve- <br />ment made upon said streets, the aggregate thereof, <br />directing bonds to be issued for the security of the <br />unpaid assessments, prescribing the denomination of said <br />bonds and providing for the issuance of same in aunual <br />series. <br /> <br /> The resolution was ordered filed, read, considered, <br />designated Resolution No. 2172 and passed by the follow- <br />ing vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees J.L. McBride, W.J. Kelly, Homer C. <br /> Chaney, Stanley E. Goode, F.L. Purinton. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br />This being the time and place fixed for the opening of <br />bids or proposals for the sale of Acquisiti~on and Im- <br />provement Bonds, designated Series "AA" in Acquisition <br />and Improvement District No. 4, also knov~n as Santa Aha <br />Boulevard Improvement, in the total sum of $43,525.00 <br />ordered issued by Resolution No. £16V, and the City Coun- <br />cil being duly convened in open session proceeded to and <br />did publicly open, examine and declare all bids received <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> V~heelock and Comp~ny---5~ per cent per annum payable sem <br /> annually, par value & accrued interest-premium $810.00 <br /> G. W. Bond & Son---5~ per cent per annum payable semi- <br /> annually, par value & accrued interest-premium $508.00 <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chaney, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the bid of V~neelock and Company was accepted as <br />the highest responsible bidder, and the Clerk instructed <br />to return check of unsuccessful bidder.
