Abbott. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and c ar- <br /> tied, the application of Standard 0il Company to erect <br /> a service station at the northeast corner of First and <br /> Bush Streets, was granted under special uses. <br /> <br /> , <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the communication from T. E. Stephenson, Postmastez <br />with notice attached relative to cancellation of assess- <br />ments on property located on Bush Street between Sixth <br />and Seventh to be used for Post Office site, was acce <br />and placed on file. <br /> <br />On mot ion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the application of Wm. Ponting to conduct a junk <br />yard at 1732 W. Fifth Street in a building formerly used <br />as a g~rage, was referred to a committee. Trustees Kell <br />and Sutton appointed as such committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the request of A1 Adrain, Commander of Veterans of <br />Foreign Wars, for a refund of $25.00 deposited with the <br />City Electrical Inspector covering inspection on carnival <br />playing under their auspices, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by Sutton and car- <br />ried, the warrant from Southern California Edison Company <br />in amount of $2094.65 covering franchise for period Janu- <br />ary 1st, 1929 to December 31st, 1929, was accepted and <br />the Clerk instructed to deposit same. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car- <br />tied, applications for electric signs were granted under <br />supervision of the Electrical Inspector as follows: <br /> <br /> Sororitie Shop <br /> F.P. Nickey Hardware Co. <br /> Stein Stationery Store <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, <br />tied, the application of Mrs. <br /> <br />213 W. 4th St. <br />407 W. 4th St. <br />118 E. 4th St. <br /> <br />seconded by Goode and car- <br /> <br />H. ~bbott to move an orange <br /> <br />juice stand to 1005 S.
