In Re <br /> <br />Reso. No. 2185 <br /> <br />Abating Nuisance--Weeds. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Reso. No. 2188 <br /> <br />Award--Fairlawn & Eighth. <br /> <br />A resolution was introduced entitled as follows: <br /> <br /> "A resolution ordering the Street Superintendent to <br />abate the Public Nuisance heretofore declared by the <br />City Council of the City of Santa Aha to ~exist in the <br />City of Santa Aha, to-wit: ~eeds which bear seeds of a <br />wingy or downy nature and attain such a large growth as <br />to become a fire menace when dry and which are noxious <br />and dangerous, growing upon certain streets, sidewalks <br />and private property in the City of Santa Aha, ~y having <br />the weeds referred to removed." <br /> <br />The resolution was ordered filed, read, considered~ <br />designated Resolution No. 21S~ and passed by the follow- <br />ing vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees W.J. Kelly, B.0. Sutton, Stanley E. <br /> Goode, F.L. Purinton. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees J.L. McBride. <br /> <br />This being the time and place fixed for the opening of <br />bids or proposals for the work ordered done and improve- <br />ment made upon aDxl along portions of Fairlawn Street and <br />Eighth Street, according to Resolution of Intention No. <br />21V?, and the City Council being duly convened in open <br />session proceeded to and did publicly open, examine and <br />declare all bids received as follows: <br /> <br />Martin & Kumpe <br />Atkinson and Reish <br />Calahan and McKee <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, <br /> <br /> Totals <br /> <br />2401.$1 <br />2042.~8 <br /> <br />seconded by Goode and car- <br /> <br />tied, the bids were referred to the City Engineer for <br />checking to report back at this meeting. Following the <br />report, the City Council awarded the contract to Calahan <br />and McKee as the lowest responsible bidder therefor. <br /> <br />A resolution was introduced awarding the contract tO <br />Calahan and McKee. The Clerk was instructed to return <br />checks of unsuccessful bidders. The resolution was <br />ordered filed, read, considered, designated Resolution <br />No. 2186 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees W.J. Kelly, B.0. Suttonj Stanley E. <br /> Goode, F.L. Purinton. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees J.L.
