Santa Ana City Hall. October 17th, 1932. 7:30 P.M. City C~ncil met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. Present: Trustees J.L. McBride, E.G. Warner, A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. Witmer. Absent.' Trustees W.H. Penn. Minutes of meetings of October 3rd and 10th were approved. In Re Communication Leage of 0alif. Municipalities. In Re Application J.A. Fitzgerald to erect Laundry Bldg. In Re Demand for Architects-Bowers Museum. XnRe Invitation to Celebration at Seal Beach. In Re E.L. Yegely Leave of Absence.. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded By HasenJaeger an~ carried, the communication of the naague of California Municipalities inclosing a copy of the Constitut~an and By-Laws, was accepted and filed. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by wasenJaeger and carried, the application of ~. A. Fitzgerald for a permit to erect a small laundry building on the west side of Main Street at the end of Stanford Street was referred to the Planning Con~nission. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was accepted and the property described as Lots No. 12, 13, iA and 18, Block A~ Tract §31 was ordered posted for Special Use and the hearing date set October 24th in accordance with the application of J. A. Pitzgerald. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and ca~- tied, the Clerk was instructed to d~aw warrant in amount of $1600.00 in favor of the Trust Department, First National Bank from the General Fund covering partial architectural fees according to contract on the Bowers Mamo~ial Museum. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- tied, the invitation of ~.O. Mitchell, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Orange County, to participate in the celebration of the opening to traffic of the sew bridge across the Flood Control Channel connecting the cities of Seal Beach and Lor~ Beach, was accepted and fi] . On motion cf Trustee Warner, seconded by Mc~lde and car- ried, E. L. Vegely, 0ity Clerk, was granted permission to leave the State for a period of ten days.
