Santa Ana City Hall. November 14th, 1932. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular adjourned session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. P~esent: Trustees J.L. McBride, E.G. Warner~ A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. Witmer. lbsent: Trustees W.H. Penn. In Re Petition of Veterans' Welfare Board. In Re Application Mills & Matlack. In Re Electric Signs. In Re Warrant of Pacific Electric Ry. 00o In Re Leave of Absence Boyd Sleeper, Fire Marshal. In Re Applications C.F. Eddleman & Taxicab Drivers. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- tied, the petition of the Veterans' Welfare Board for. the cancellation of certain taxes now appearing on the tax records as a lien against property owned by the was referred to the City Attorney to report back at the next meeting. On motion of T~ustee McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger carried, the application of John J. Mills and E. B. Matlack for a permit to conduc~ a Second Hand Store at 420 N. Sycamore Street, was referred to the Police De sent to report back at next meeting. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the application of the ~anta Ana Electric Com- pany to hang electric signs for Kingms Confectionery at 323 W. Fourth StreSt and for Dysart,s Music Company at 8~8 S. Main Street, was granted under supervision of the Electrical Inspector. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger carried, the warrant in amount cE $~49.72 of the Pacific Electric Railway Company covering franchise tax for year ending November 7th, 1932, was accepted and the Clerk instructed to deposit same in the General Fund. On moti°n of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by McBride carried, Boyd Sleeper, Fire Marshal, was granted one year's leave of absence from the Fire Department. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, the application of C. F. Eddleman for the trane- fer of ownership from C. H. Ecklee of the Courtesy Cab Company at ~l~. N. Main Street, together with the applica- tions of Logan Barnett, Harvey A. Clark, M.E. Crumley,Jr. Carl W. Jungkeit, Thomas Glen Kirby, John Robert Lentz, Edward W'. Miller, Homer R. Putmam and Voris K. Robison as Taxicab drivers for said company, were granted.
