City Council met in r.egular adjourned session. Meeting called to o~der b~y Mayor Witmer. Present: Trustees J.L. McBride, E.G. Warner, W.H. Penn, A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. witmer. Absent: Trustees None. In Re Communication Pasadena TouPnament of Roses Association. In Re Newport Bay Tournament of Lights. In Re Resolution Orange County CQuncil American Legion. In Re Application R. E. Burton. In Re Request C.H.Eckles to Transfer Bus & Taxi Service. In Re Application John H. Wilson. Santa Ana City Hall. June 13th, 1932. 7:30 P.M. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Penn and car- tied, the communication from Charles Cobb, Chairman of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association, relative to budgeting an allotment for the Tournament of Roses, January 2nd, 1933, was accepted and filed. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- tied, the con~nunication from the Newport Harbor Chamber of Commerce with reference to entering a float in the Annual Tournament of Lights at Newport Bay, July 16,1932 was taken under advisement and the Clerk instructed t o advise the Chamber of Commerce of the action taken. On.~otion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the resolution adopted by the Orange County Council American Legion approving the principle of em- Dloying only citizens and residents of Orange County on all work, both public and private in the County and also th~ purchase of materials locally, was taken under advisement. ,, On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by McBride and carried, the application of R. E. Bu~ton for permission to conduct a Roller Skating Rink at 419 E. Third Street investigate and was referred to the Police Department to/report back. On .motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, the request of C~ H. Eckles for the Council's approval to transfer his permit to operate the Santa Aha Bus Service to Mr. A. Hazelhurst and also to transfer his permit to operate the Courtesy Cab Company to Mr. C. F. Eddleman, was referred to the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- ried, the communication of J. Parley Smith as attorney for John H. Wilson, tendering proper license fee and public liability insurance policy for the operation of taxicabs by his client, was referred to the Finence Committee.
