In Re Decorating Bowers Museum. In Re Balaries & Wages On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Hasenjaeger and carried, the application of A. G. Diehl for a permit to erect a store building at the southeast corner of Bishop and Van Ness Avenue, was referred to the Planning Commis- sion. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- ried, the reco~m~endation of the Planning Cor~ission was accepted and the application of A. G. Diehl for permit to erect a store building and to change tho zone from Single Family Residence Zone to Neighborhood Business Zone, was granted provided a set back of ten feet is made on S. Van Ness Avenue. ,, 0n motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Hasenjaeger and carried, the Clerk was instructed.to advise the Newport Harbor Chamber of Co.~nnerce that the City of Santa Ana will be unable to enter a float in the Tournament of Lights fbr lack of funds but will be glad to celebrate the occa- sion with them. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the application of W. F. Croddy in behalf of 0. W. Jones for permission to operate an 011 Reclaiming Business at l?17 S. Main Street, was taken under advise- ment. On motion of Trustee ~cBride, seconded by Warner and car- ried, the demand of B. Uttley in amount of ~15,9~$.00 covering damages for personal injuries, etc., received in an automobile at Tenth and Broadway, was denied on recommendation of the City Attorney. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by McBride and car- July 5th, 19~, ried, action taken/relative to written demand on the County Board of Supervisors for the sum of f~55,585.00 for repairs, etc., on streets in the CSty, was rescinded. 0n motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by McBride and carried, the City Attorney was instructed to draw a con, tract between Mr. Martin Syvertsen and the City of Santa Aha for the decoration of the Bowers Memorial Museum. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded.by McBri~le and carried, the salaries and wages of City Employees were approved as submitted by the City Auditor in the City Budget, same to become effective July 1st, 1932.
