G. Diehl for a permit to <br /> erect a store building at the southeast corner of Bishop <br /> and Van Ness Avenue, was referred to the Planning Commis- <br /> sion. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br /> ried, the reco~m~endation of the Planning Cor~ission was <br /> accepted and the application of A. G. Diehl for permit to <br /> erect a store building and to change tho zone from Single <br /> Family Residence Zone to Neighborhood Business Zone, was <br /> granted provided a set back of ten feet is made on S. <br /> <br /> Van Ness Avenue. <br /> <br /> ,, <br /> <br />0n motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Hasenjaeger and <br />carried, the Clerk was instructed.to advise the Newport <br />Harbor Chamber of Co.~nnerce that the City of Santa Ana will <br />be unable to enter a float in the Tournament of Lights <br />fbr lack of funds but will be glad to celebrate the occa- <br />sion with them. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and <br /> carried, the application of W. F. Croddy in behalf of <br /> <br /> 0. W. Jones for permission to operate an 011 Reclaiming <br /> Business at l?17 S. Main Street, was taken under advise- <br /> ment. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee ~cBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br /> ried, the demand of B. Uttley in amount of ~15,9~$.00 <br /> covering damages for personal injuries, etc., received in <br /> an automobile at Tenth and Broadway, was denied on <br /> recommendation of the City Attorney. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by McBride and car- <br /> July 5th, 19~, <br />ried, action taken/relative to written demand on the <br /> <br />County Board of Supervisors for the sum of f~55,585.00 for <br />repairs, etc., on streets in the CSty, was rescinded. <br /> <br />0n motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by McBride and <br />carried, the City Attorney was instructed to draw a con, <br />tract between Mr. Martin Syvertsen and the City of Santa <br />Aha for the decoration of the Bowers Memorial Museum. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded.by McBri~le and <br />carried, the salaries and wages of City Employees were <br />approved as submitted by the City Auditor in the City <br />Budget, same to become effective July 1st, 1932. <br /> <br /> <br />
