S. Pruitt for position as <br />Janitor, if such a vacancy should occur, was received <br />mud filed for future reference. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, secmded by Hasenjaeger and <br />carried, the communication of Crafts Greater Shows recom- <br />mending that any carnival be required to furnish a recom- <br />mendation from the law enforcement of the last three plac <br />where they exhibited, which would establish the character <br />and quality of their show before they are given a pe~nit, <br />was referred to the Police Department. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, secc~ded by McBride and car- <br />tied, the resignations of Lon Morris as Police Officer <br />to take effect at once and of T. H. Bond as Police 0ffi- <br />cer to take effect August 1st, 1932, were accepted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br />ried, the request of Barbers operating Shops in Santa Ana <br />Urging the Council to adopt an Ordinance regulating the <br />the closing hours of Barber Shops, was denied. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seccnded by Warner and car- <br />ried, the request of Ricardo Plasencia for a free permit <br />to conduct a weekly dance for Mexican people at 2006 W. <br />Fifth Street, for t~he benefit of unemployed Mexicans, was <br />referred to the Chief of Police with power to act. ,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and <br />carried, the report of the Library Board for the fiscal <br />year ending June 30th, 1932, was referred to the Finance <br /> <br />Commit t e e. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Appointment <br />Dr. Parker. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by McBride and car- <br /> <br />tied, Robert J. ~arker was appointed a special police <br /> without pay <br />officer/at the swimming pool of the Polytechnic High <br /> <br />S <br /> <br /> <br />
