Santa Ana City Hall. August 1st, 1932. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. Present: Trustees J.L. McBride, E.G. Warner, W.H. Penn, A.C. Hasenjaeger, Paul B. Witmer. Absent: Trustees None. ~ Minutes of meetings of July 18th and 25th were approved as read. In Re Bond of Russell Plumbing Co. In Re Monthly Reports. In Re Warrants. In He Application P. E. Calhoun. In He Communication Eeague of Cal. Municipalities. In Re Meeting of League of Calif. Municipalities. In He Application J. A. Friend. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the bond of James H. Russell and Fred C. Wahl doing business as Russell Plumbing Company, for Plumbing and Gas Fitting in amount of $2000.00 was referred to the C.hair for approval or disapproval. On motion of Trustee Hasenjeeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the reports of City Officers for the month of July were referred to the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee Warner, s~econded by Hasenjoeger and carried, the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants according to demands audited by the Finance Committee. ,, On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Hasenjaeger and carried, the application of ?. E. Calhoun for permission to manufacture perfume sticks in his home at 802 Garfield Street, was referred to the Plan~ing Commission. On motion of Trustee Penn, the communication from the seconded by Warner and carried. League of California Munici- palities with reference to a Statewide meeting to discuss steps to prevent the diversion of gssoline taxes and motor vehicle fees into the state general fund, was referred to Trustee McBride. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the Clerk was instructed to advise the League of California Municipalities that the Council Chamber will · regional he available to the League for its/~neeting to be held August 13th. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- ried, the application of J. A. Friend for permit to con- duct the Friendly Taxicab Service at ll2 W. Third Street, was denied.
