No. 2340' Adopting Map to Abandon portions of Pine & Walnut 8ts. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by McBride and carried, the recorm~endation of the City Attorney was approved to employ L. W. Blodget as special counsel to assist in the case of B. Uttley vs. City of Santa Aha. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Hasenjaeger and carried, the Council proceeded to open bids for city printing for the coming year as follows: T_ot al James A. Bramley ~1638.90 Dennis Printers 848.00 On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, the bid of Dennis Printers in amount of ~848.00 was accepted as the lowest responsible bidder and t~e Clerk was instructed to return the check of the unsuccess- ful bidder. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Has.~n3aeger and carried, the Council proceeded to open bids for City Advertising for the coming, year as follows: Register Publishing Co. Orange County Reporter The motion of Trustee Warner · 65¢ .60¢ .60~ · 30 .30 .30 to award the contract for the City Advertising to th~ Register Publishing Company was lost for lack of a second. On motio~n of Trus tee, Penn, seconded by McBride and car- tied, it was decided to defer action for one week on the bids for City Advertising. A resolution was introduced petitioning the Board of Supervisors of Orange County to allot to the Cities of Orange County 321-% of the sums accruing to Orange County from the Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax and Vehicle Tax to be used by the Cities of Orange County for the cmastruction and maintenance on designated city streets that are con- nectiug links with tl~rough ~ounty or State roads. On mo2ion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and carried the resolution was unanimously adopted. ,. A resolution adopting map for the abandonment of a portio~ of Walnut Street and a portion of Pine Street in the City of Santa Ana, was filed, read, considered, designated Resolution No. ~340 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees J.L.
