Santa Ama City Hall. August 29th, 1932. 7:30 City Council met in regular adjourned session. ~eeting called to order by ~ayor Witmer. Present: Trustees E.G. Warner, W.H. Penn, A.C. Ha.~en0aeger, Paul B. Witmero Absent: Trustees J.L. NcBride. In Re On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and Co~unication carried, the communication of K. H. Sutherland, County Or.Co. Health Dept. Health Officer, stating that it will be impossible for his department to render a monthly written report of Health activities in tho City, was received and filed and the Clerk was instructed to advise Dr. Sutherland that the quar.terly report will be satisfactory. In Re On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Per~ and Application carried, the ap~?lication of Csirdido Peroz for permission Calrdido Perez. to conduct a pool hall at 1030 Logan Street was referred to the Chief of Police and Police Commissioner to inves- tigate and report back in one week. In Re On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Hasenjaeger and Request of carried, the request of Geo. D. Newcom to have James Geo. D. Newcom. League appointed a special police officer at the High School, was referred to the Chief of Police with power to act. In Re On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and Hearing for Removal carried, the notice of the State Railroad Commission Crossing Gates--E. 4th St. resetting hearing date from September 2nd to September 1st, 1932, at 10:30 A.N., relative to removing crossing gates on E. Fourth Street, was referred to City Attorney. In Re On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and Report of carried, the financial statements of the ~etropolttan ~etro~olitan Water Dist. Water District as of June 30th, 193~, together with State- ment No. 8 showing the amount of water stored by the District and used by member cities thereof, were received and filed. In Re On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Penn and Franchise Warrant carried, the warrant of the Southern California Telephone Sou. Calif. Telephone Co. Company in amount of $4,83V.02 covering franchise tax for year ending August 19th, 1~32, was accepted and the Clerk instructed to deposit same.
